"ARMS" reveals a projection of bare arms that seem to emerge from the wall, capturing the viewer's attention with a presence that is both familiar and unsettling. These outstretched arms, as if seeking to grasp the space or touch something on the other side of the wall, embody a quest for interaction and connection.
This work explores the theme of yearning and the desire to be seen or heard in public spaces. The arms, suspended in expectation, represent an attempt to escape physical and emotional boundaries, and question the scope of our presence in an often distant and indifferent world.
The projection also questions how we perceive gestures and signs of connection. By forcing the viewer to step back, "ARMS" reveals the invisible barriers that separate us, while inviting reflection on our own engagement and response to signs of call and vulnerability.
Through this work, the wall becomes a symbol of the obstacles we encounter in our relationships and interactions, and the outstretched arms a silent call for recognition and mutual understanding.
